Hi guys! My first Arnie! I bought a seiko h558-5009 and i have a bit of mystery on my hands.Thankfully i have this great forum to help me O .My problem is the top lcd keeps blinking after i set the date.When i press the top button it stops blinking and the light's on for a couple of seconds and then it starts blinking again!I hope it's only a battery or am i doing something wrong? :-[ .Q#2-where can i get a bezel insert for this watch? Q#3-How difficult is it to replace this insert? Any input would be highly appreciated-Sebastian

Normally when that happens to me it is the battery.

change the battery. AFAIK, thats how all ana/digi Seikos show that the battery needs to be replaced.

Congratulations to your H558-5009 "Arnie" - it´s a nice watch, wear it in good health.

When you are replacing the battery, be sure that you use the right battery.

The Seiko calibre H558A uses a SR926W silver oxid cell / equivalent to the Varta 399.

Thanks for Your help guys! I just replaced the battery and my arnie is running like it should.No more blinking,i synchronized both times and the alarm works too (it sounds like no other alarm i've heard-cool!) Now i'm waiting for some new clothes for it:bezel insert and aluminum shroud.I can't decide between "black shark mesh" or "super oyster pvd" bracelets from wjean28 on ebay.BTW Shannon thanks for your offer but at this point in time i do not have the know how to attempt this 7 gasket replacement. .Cheers!!!
