On amazon.ca, a Stuhlring Legacy Analog Display Mechanical Hand Wind watch, is being offered for $889.32. It is almost identical to my watch which I purchased for a little over $100. How could the seller be selling a watch for $900 ,which is only worth $100 ? Is someone really going to buy this watch for $900 when it is only worth $100 and in my opinion it looks like a $100 watch ?
Not necessarily , people are allowed to ask whatever price they want for their merchandise, as long as they don't make a fraudulent claim about it. It is up to the buyer , "buyer beware", unless a false claim is being made , such as claiming it is real gold or it is a real diamond.

Having read through the Quora answers, I would guess the most likely explanation is that the vendor is out of stock and has upped the price to keep the listing active until more stock arrives. In this scenario, no one is buying the item, because the seller can't actually fill the order.
Why should it be puzzling? The seller can set whatever price he/she wants and the buyer can accept or reject it.
