Funny, I've had a couple letdowns but most are as good/better than I would think. I voted same as that's the average. I feel like over time, i've learned how to "read the tea leaves" of a shot and discern lighting issues vs wabi, etc. I've also learned to ask a lot more questions!

I also have to admit to the habit of actually seeking out those with crappy pics and taking a gamble because they generally go for a lot less than auctions with good pictures. Thinking about it now, while i've bought some that were basically scrap, i've also had more that turned out to be absolute bargains...:grin:
In general I love ebay, had some cracking buys and some total crap but thats the fun of it and i never ask the seller questions or ask for additional pictures and I never complain if it turns out a bad buy but I also never offer the seller more money if it is a great buy
