Please Help Me Identify These Hands -

My next mod will likely be a variation upon this PMMM using a skx171 dial and case. I have some Seiko OEM samurai hands ready and waiting. The hands on this one below look a little more bold. Yobokies has Chrome S hands which may be what is shown-

Any opinions or advice? Here's the watch (needless to say this is not my picture and I grabbed it from somewhere). They may just be original Sammy hands. Would like some expert input. Thanks in advance for any clarity you can bring to help me go from  to:).

As an aside, I plan to do a mildly domed sapphire crystal, try to get a hacking 6r15 or equivalent movent adjusted to handle a day of the week complication, signed crown (which I have), bead blasted skx bezel (like the murphy however) and I am thinking yobokies glass MOD bezel insert.

One final thought is an all yellow second hand with a meatball at short end of the second hand to be break out of the mold a little. My latest favorite skx bracelet is an super jubilee with all the shininess brushed out with a brown scotch pad I got somewhere a long time ago. Looks and feels great.

Thoughts?

You had me all the way until the very end where you mentioned the yellow second hand. I've seen other watches that try to do this and I have just never seen it carried out in a way that looks "right." Perhaps something with a yellow (or red) tip would set it off nicely, but a full yellow hand against a sea of dark colors might just take all the attention.

Good point. Pretty much all my mods to date have been quite conservative, trying to work mostly with Seiko OEM parts and trying to keep the look close to something Seiko would actually produce if they had the good taste that I do:).

You may be right that it would be too bold/garish/tacky/just plain bad looking. Here is the picture that inspired me:

I have thought of just giving a little yellow to the tip of the Sammy second hand as a kind of Kelly Rayburn tribute:

Beyond second hands, any opinions on the ultimate source of the hands in the first mod I posted in this thread?

Oh I like that yellow tip !
That may be the way to go.

Furthermore, I Googled the image and answered my own question:

Seiko SKX171 (Oct 2005)
Murphy Coin Edge Bezel
Seiko SKX007 Bezel Insert
Seiko Samurai Titanium Handset
DAGAZ Double-Domed Sapphire with Blue Inner AR

Similar to the Sammy hands, you might try a set from a Stargate SRP491. Painted white with blacked-out , er, whatever you call the rear end of the hands. Should look pretty bold I think.
