Hi,

I'm having difficulty choosing an insert for the murphy coin-edged bezel on my SNE109.
I'm hoping some feedback here will help. I'll also run this poll for a few days to see where it goes.

Thanks for looking.

Please vote.

I have these 3 choices.

First a before shot.

#3

I think they all look great but the rally checkered #3 has alot of activity and the first one has a similar color to the dial and chapter ring but not enough difference for a true contrast.
This leaves you with the second insert. Opposing color scheme provides a correct contrast while still having enough color similarity for a proper match.

Hm, number 3 is the only one that goes but it's a little too much!
The others really need to be a different colour, for me.

I'm not sure, maybe no.1 works slightly better than the others for looks. But I'd probably go for three due to the way the colours work a little better?

I'd fit the first one, but I'd also keep looking as I feel there's something better out there somewhere....

I'm not 100% in favour of any of them but I'm thinking I'll go with #2.

It's hard to choose when looking at photos on the web.
The problem is that the SNE109 dial is a very different shade of orange.
And the chapter ring is a different shade as well.

I'm going to look for an all black with lumed numbers in the meantime.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll post wrist shots.

Now to try and find that lumed insert.

Looking at it again I think you might get a whole different look with a different chapter ring, it would break up the dial and the insert. Right now you have too many shades of orange.

Totally agree Rob.

Up to now my only mods have been exterior type mods.

I've never opened a case to do anything other than change a battery.

I'm assuming that I'd need to invest in a press to do anything else.
That's if the chapter ring comes out through the front.

I have a 7002 that I'd like to use to do my first interior mods...hands...dial...chapter ring.

You don't see too many SNE's modified.

It's the graduation of the oranges, in the first picture, from light in the dial to slightly darker in the chapter ring to yet darker still on the bezel insert that I think really works for the watch, looks intentional and 'designed'......

My thoughts exactly, multiple shades of orange just aren't working.

Number one should be the best fit but you may have to experiment with different chapter rings first - i'm thinking a plain steel with minute markers like this http://www.dagazwatch.com/apps/webstore/products/show/1065394

Decided to order this insert.
I think it's the only colour that is 100% compatible.

Thanks again for all the feedback. Much appreciated folks.

Cheers.
