There are 3 flea markets that are held on the 1st( PCC Flea Market), 2nd(Rose Bowl Flea Market) and 3rd Sunday(Long Beach Flea Market) of every month here in Los Angeles, CA. I was at the Long Beach Flea Market over the weekend. As usual, I was out looking for old Seiko and Citizen watches. But of late, the pickings were slim. edCame across this Gruen "Rambo" Compass watch which was sitting in a glass case display. Picked it up and discovered that the watch was in running conditions but need a replacement on the screws that turns the watch compass. Got the new screws yesterday and replaced it. Added a Citizen nylon strap to it. All for $50.00. What a weekend!

Now that is major cool. Man how I wish I lived somewhere with a decent flea market. Here in NYC there are a handful of tiny ones, but most sellers seem to think that every piece of junk they sell belongs in a museum collection.
