Hey guys, I got my Orient FTT11002B0/TT11002B Captain on Friday and I am in love. :D

It's big and chunky which is my thing. The specifications from the web site:
Analogue Quartz Movement : caliber KFB00
Chronograph in 1/20 second
Chronograph hands (second & 1/20 second), Small second hand
Date indicator
Stainless steel case
Crystal glass
Screw caseback & Screw down crown
Stainless steel bracelet
Water resistant to 200m
Diameter 45.00mm
Thickness 11.60mm

Measurements seem true.

The case is a mix of polished and brushed ss. Brushed top surface and polished sides. and has a single direction anti-clockwise rotating bezel. The glass is completely flat and sits just below the inner edge of the bezel. The crown is as mentioned a screwdown and features the Orient signature.

The strap is wide, non tapering and has the same mix of brushed (top surface) ss and polished sides as the case. The clasp is the familiar post with twin button release type with the locking clip, I don't see that giving me any trouble.

The thing that surprised me most, being a total watch n00b was the second hand. The main second hand is the small one on the left of the face and the large second hand is the stopwatch second hand. That took some getting used to. Personally I'd prefer the reverse, but what do I know? (not a lot, clearly! lol)

This being my first 'big boy' watch has, of course, made me want more. I have a list, now. It's full of Orient, Seiko, Citizen and Bulova. Ha! I'm really impressed by the heft, the feel and the impression left by this watch. I took it to my local jeweller's chain store to have some links taken out of the strap the staff member hadn't heard of Orient because it's not a brand they stock. I explained their connection with Seiko and she was happy to try the Seiko tools remarking that she thought it was a 'lovely piece.' The adjustment was perfect and the watch now sits snugly on my wrist without being too tight and will be a good indicator if I've eaten too much over the Christmas season. :D

Closing opinion: Lot of watch for not a lot of money. Very happy with my purchase.

Your review is as fine as your new Orient. Good to know how satisfied you are with your decision. It is a rewarding feeling to acquire such a quality timepiece at reasonable cost. Thanks for sharing with us. Enjoy....

Mr Synaptix-

Congrats on choosing this handsome timepiece.
And Thanks for sharing that 'New Watch that just thrills you Feeling!".
That feeling will last a long time. And surprisingly it can come with different brand name timepieces and it is a good feeling, that comes again and again as you choose which Watch to wear for special occasions. I have several Orient timepieces and I think they are a really good looking, high quality timepiece for that price point.

And though you may not be aware of it yet-'Wearing a New Timepiece that you have acquired after wanting it for a while - it will bring you good luck in Time!'

Safe Journey Always!
