Here I have 3 female 6309 stems, the 2 on the left are ones returned to me as supposedly incorrect & the one on the right is from my stock. In my opinion they are not the same & if they are would you say they have been damaged? Opinions appreciated. Tia

Difficult to say if they're the originals you sent Stefan, or whether they've been swapped for aftermarket ones. Either way they they don't seem to look damaged from the pictures.
Hi Duncan
If you look the far left one has dinks in it & on the 2 on left the grooves are irregular also & the flat side of the fork so to speak are rough where as the one on the right is smooth & consistant, all the ones I have in stock are the same but these 2 arent for mr anyway? Thoughts please mate, Thanks

Puzzelling. If they are dimensionally identical why would they be returned as they should work just as well. My thoughts about the marks are if all you genuine stock has consistency why don't these two?

Seems like the center one is longer than the others.

If you sold these on ebay, there is a chance that the buyer bought from you and returned some AM ones. It happens as there are scammers on ebay.

My suggestion would be to not do business with that individual any more if you're convinced that they did a swap on you.

Sorry to see this. Its a shame that some people don't think a good deal is good enough. Your prices are more than reasonable, and I know this isn't the first time it has happened to you. I guess there will always be those people out there who think they're entitled to do whatever they want. The downside of the internet is that it makes it a lot easier for them to find you :undecided:

Hi Guys, he returned them as he said they didnt fit 6309s but Ive fitted 2 to both of my 6309s & they are perfect & also lots of guys have bought these from me & fitted them & been over the moon. I think your right guys he has swapped them for AM as every one I have is consistent with the one on the right in the picture, Far better machining & consistent, Sad case & barred!
Thanks for the opinions really appreciated>

Stems

The one on the far left seems to be ground or slightly groove
possibly by the case tube I would say. No expert but knowing
a little about machining it looks that way. Also the far left
one appears to be like it could have been forced in the tube area
but it looks different as seen there due to some kind of wear down
or it has been forced to be used.
I'd say it was abused the far left one. Thats not all (Mold or Machining
marks) on the surface. I had one like that and the little ring on the
stem backing up the spring got some how hung up in the case tube and
I could not remove it, but had to strip the watch to get it out.
Had to make a sharp pin tool to separate the spring from the female
stem and it came loose. (Sometimes like heard to do cutting a spring bar
spring ),causes that. ( The spring constantly gets hung up at the end )
point because of it not being flattened, (90 Degree)uniformed like the stock one.

( I would say the far left is a (used old one), look at the ...(Wear groove),indented
..... on it. )The fourth picture the ...( Left One). On the concave to Flat machine part
has some rubbed edge wear on it on the right side edge.

Stefan your story is compelling but not fully without some room for shall we say 'legal fair doubt'. I only wonder as to the guys possible intent vs getting mixed up.

I will add this buyer to my 'blocked buyer' list and I thank you for the heads-up.

Twice I sold an old auto tail light assembly and both times the buyers reneged on their purchases and both times they had future feedback from other sellers for the same tail light at a lower price. I mean c'mon people, make a purchase and live with your with decision and move on. Gives fleabay a bad reputation.
