I've got half a dozen of these - pity they're all dead - almost my favorite watch.
I've been toying with the idea of buying an 18K gold one, complete with 18k band but of course it's dead too and US$5000 is a lot to pay for a bracelet.

Does anyone know of a fixer, preferably in AU/NZ, who I can contact to negotiate repairs. There used to be a guy in Freemantle but he decided to change employment and that was a decade ago.

Failing that please advise of a specialist in Europe/USA who can do the work.
I don't like the idea but needs must. It's a pain in the arse packing and insuring watches and hoping the postal services know what they're doing.

So far I don't have a working tuning-fork pocket watch, although I have several electronic balance-wheel pocket watches. Citizen, who subcontracted to Bulova, made some, & I'm hoping to lay my hands on one of those. I did get a non-working hunter-case Accutron (I'd say cheap, but I don't know what price is "cheap" for a dead watch!) & am not sure what I'm going to do with it.
