$5K is pocket/lunch money what you have in your wallet every day to buy those little esentials that you need just to get you through each day in comfort :)
so today just for the fun of it you decide to spend it on a Seiko or a few Seiko's what would you buy ??

Or would you buy that one grail Seiko like Jeremiah posted ?

Todays treat for me would be, (assuming i had none of the below)and i would want them all original as possible and on there original bracelets/straps:

  • Business Belle...$300
    4006-6002...$300
    4005-7000...$300
    6309-704X...$300
    6105-811X...$600
    6105-8000...$600
    MM...$1200
    Sky Hawk...$300
    7A38...$150
    7549-7010...$500
Note the prices were good because i had cash and i should imagine cash talks ha ha
And have change to treat the wife to a show and a meal just to keep her sweet :) ;)

Assuming I have that kind of cash, and that kind of cash will allow me to find whatever my heart desires, I'd need:

1) 6159-7000
2) 6105-8000
3) 6306-7001
4) SBDX011

That'd keep me happy for the first week!

I'd probably call Rob and do the SKX mod I have planned, but I'm going to do that anyway :)

Ok, maybe an 11063V Autavia (sorry, not a Seiko!)

Grand Seiko diver for me. :)

Or maybe try to get one of each vintage model on the low end side, just to stretch out the $$$$$.

You know, $5k just ain't enough. LOL.

My list of watches that i would buy in the following order:

Seiko 6159-7010 Tuna
Citizen 1982 1300m Diver
Seiko 6306-7001 Scubapro 450
Seiko 300m/1999 Scubapro

The above should come to about 5k if I can find it in original conditions.

Cheers,
Jeremiah

Well, since this is the SCWF I'm sure you'd let me go for a Citizen - and I'd have to go for a glorious Citizen - in fact I'd go for the Glorious Citizen - the GC - if I could only find one! This is one rare piece, and these are the only pics I have found of it so far:

I'd get a new Marine Master and probably a NIB SBBN007. I know that would leave me with about $2k left over, but that's all I can think of right now that I'd really love to own.

If I were forced to spend the rest, I'd probably get something Swiss (gasp!!!). :p

If I had 5K to spend I would find the best 5126, 7019, 6119 and 6106 sports or rally divers I could find and get as close as I could to a full set. Might need to have a contact in Japan to find some of the more obscure 7019 and 5126 models though so some of the cash may have to go to finders fees.

So lets say I allocated $2K to that search, I would spend the rest on:

Mint 6105-8000: $800
Mint 6217-8000: $1200
Mint Bullheads: $800
Mint 6139-6002: $200
