From News of the Weird this week:

Recycled Components: Swiss clockmaker Artya announced in March the creation of a wristwatch set in fossilized dinosaur feces (with a strap made with skin from an American cane toad). Designer Yvan Arpa told the Associated Press the watch would sell for about $12,000. [MSNBC-AP, 3-15-10]

If you're ever depressed about spending 12k on crap, you could always lick the strap :))

The funny thing is that my wife used to keep one as a pet. One day her American Bullfrog got hold of the cane toad and started doing what bullfrogs like to do most :-\ . The toad (named Alice after Alice Cooper) wasn't happy about being "got at", so she started secreting her poison. Lemmy the bullfrog was going at it like a rabbit, and wasn't in the mood to let go, the wife was panicing because her bullfrog was going to die (what a way to go !), so we had to hold the pair of them under a running tap whilst trying to prise them apart, after an immense struggle we managed to part them, but boy did that bullfrog have a tight grip !.
