First off... I'm not a rubber strap guy. I can never get comfortable in them.
But... I'm all for anybody who tries to do something different when it comes to straps and bracelets and this is just the kind of thing that I think should be encouraged.
The first looks good, but I think the second one is winner. On an old 6309 it would just look wonderful.
Hell.... I'd seriously think about buying one myself and I don't normally do rubber....

Hey there Larry, just one more observation if I may. I really like the concept however if there's one thing that might be a tad off putting for some is the overall sheen of the strap. I suppose it depends on the material being used but unadorned flat vents ususally have more of a satin finish which may be a result of the material having a wee bit of texture to it. Clearly I'm not a materials expert but perhaps the embossing process reveals a more reflective quality which depending on the extent of the embossing, tends to make the strap look more like plastic? This is why I advocate for a symbol or emblem as opposed to a continuous more flowing design. Ideally, incorporating logos from companies such as US Divers, Dacor (now defunct), Poseidon, ScubaPro etc would be terrific. I suppose copyright concerns would be quite a hurdle but on the other hand, from a manufacturers' perspective, it would be a whole lot cheaper than commissioning a limited edition watch. Just my 4 cents ;)

Hey great job, I really like the idea. I've been looking at engraved steel bracelets for a year now, hard to find. I think they would go well with the Seiko Prospex Street Series Tuna, or the new SEIKO 5 SPORTS SRPD71K2 and the others in that collection. Good luck.

I'm in the "No" camp for the embossed straps. What I'd really like to see Uncle Seiko make is a 1:1 copy of the Marine Master 300 strap in a soft compound.

I really like the idea of an embossed strap - my suggestion would be simply to flip the embossing to the back side! Some texture on the back would probably help with ventilation during warmer weather, and would be a fun and subtle feature as an owner. I know I'd buy one! I came across a FS posting on WUS for this strap from Omega that seems to do something similar - which reminded me of your idea, and gave me the thought of suggesting the embossing pattern on the back. Just my $0.02...

Not my thing, really, but I prefer the second design with the scrollwork below the flat vents.

Since everyone else is posting their wish list items, here’s mine ... Pogue end links for the Stelux President bracelet. In effect, a version of your existing Pogue end link, but with the smaller opening to fit the Stelux bracelet.

And also, while we’re at it to have a copy of the original Speedtimer 5 endlinks.

Hi Larry, I'm a fan of the waves design. It's interesting and unique.

If I could ask for two other items I'd love to see in the future, one would be a coffin link bracelet and the other would be a Beads of Rice in smaller sizes (to accommodate vintage Seikos in the 18, 19mm range).
