on my Seiko 1/100 chronograph! It's been a long time since wearing it and i need to have all the hands return to top position.....
I pulled the crown out to first position and held the 8 position button in for 2 seconds, but the subdial hands do not return to the 12 spot as in my photo....anyone can advise? thanks!

Have a look at

http://www.righttime.com/images/technical_guide/sna_series.pdf

It shows the combination of buttons needed to be pressed for a reset.
Or you can just pull up the user manual for that caliber from our own archive here:

SCWF - Seiko Calibers User/Operation Manuals

or the technical manual for the same caliber here:

SCWF - Seiko Calibers Technical/Repair Manuals
