My SUG089K has a new pal, a SKX013

FYI: Since I am a woman, I need a watch that has a maximum width of 39mm including the crown.

Scored a nice new old stock SUG089K a while ago, and although I love it, I wanted a second slightly bigger diver and the SKX013 caught my eye. A well known online Seiko store in my country (monsterwatches.nl) actually had a SKX013 on stock. It all went so fast, that I actually have to wait for my new 20mm nato's to arrive from Timefactors and RLT in order to properly wear it ;D So I put a 18mm rubber strap on it temporarily just to see how it looks on my wrist. You can see the little pal SUG089K on the left ;)

What do you guys think? :)

Nice start to your midsized diver collection! Now look for the Citizen NY2300 diver too!

Is that a 1-piece rubber strap on the right?

That's right, it's an "Athens" 18mm black caoutchouc (natural rubber) one piece band (brand:Meyhofer) I ordered from a watchbandshop in Germany. Wear it regularly in the SUG089k. Would be a perfect strap if it had 2 keepers instead of 1, but I am very pleased with it nevertheless.

In my search for female/midsize divers I did bump into some Citizen female divers, but I prefer the Seiko's. Somehow the dial/hands/bezel combo that Citizen uses doesn't appeal to me.
Congratulations!!

I used to have one sug089, and 2 skx013's. I figured that sug089 for my wife, and one skx013 for me and another skx013 for my wife, as well.

Unfortuantely, my wife did not seem to like the diver concept of watches. So I keep one skx013 and let the other two go.

These two models are great. Even I enjoy wearing larger watches a lot, sometimes it is good to have a change. They both run great and keep great time.

Thanks for sharing,

Vincent

it's a shame your wife did not like the watches, but it all comes down to what appeals to us and what feels comfortable wearing. There are not many women that enjoy less "chicklike" watches, and a lot of women I know don't wear a watch at all! I think they prefer rings/earrings and matching shoes a little more..to each his/her own ;)

I sure love these 2 divers: I intend to keep enjoying them for many, many years. Just change the strap on these watches and they look more dressy or more sporty. I intend to make some more pictures, including some lume shots, in the near future..maybe even a video I can put on youtube.
Hi Toodutch :)

Glad to see the watch arrived so fsat

Wear it in good health!

(Rob dus ;))
My beautiful wife likes the look of Divers (and frankly would be too rough on a dress watch). Thanks for sharing, now I have a few more candidates for her.
