Here's another blingy one from the same box, that also needed a replacement battery fitting.
It's a comparatively rare Italian market variant - a 7A38-706B (not documented on Seiko's database).
There were a few other 7A38-706A and -706B models, produced at the same time - in December '88.
I started seeing them cropping up on eBay Italy a few years ago. Thought it was a Franken at first.
This one's fitted with a period Pryngeps strap, which I think suits it well.
My observations from the pics I have seen is that the East Tech links have a slot but no inner spring bar retainers.
Does this limit the wraparound of the bracelet downwards if you have a small wrist and are the end pieces held securely in place without the inner spring bar retainers?
I've mailed several eBay sales packages from my home in the USA in the last week. I am located just outside NYC. I am seeing it's taking 4 or more days just to go the 15-25 miles to a Regional USPS terminal where they get loaded onto the cross-country trucks.
