As someone who is new to the universe of modified Seiko watches, I am looking for reputable and reliable sources to purchase modified Seiko watches or a reliable person to whom I can ship for modification. As is stands, a lot of the links on the internet are no longer available. For example some of the finest modifications that I have seen are from the late Noah Fuller, who appears to have tragically passed away. Any help or leads are gratefully accepted. Thank you.

Google:

Custom Seiko Watches

My Experiance:
Jake/Dagaz has a great parts shop
Very low and limited on custom watches

The "known" mod guys are busy and have a backlog of work
They seem to be in a "stealth" mode

Suggest:
join a few sites
read
study
you will learn alot

also, u will learn that u need Custom Straps too ;-))

Here's what I do... Cruise ebay till you find a beat up SKX or some other Seiko worth modding. Ebay actually has some great parts you can get for cheap there too. Sometimes old modders sell off their left over parts. You can find dials for as low as $15 that look great. Good deals on bezel inserts and hands can be found too. The key is just shopping around. I haven't ordered from dagaz before, but I've bought parts from other people who sourced them there. Same with Yobokies. I just bought a set of hands on ebay for $15 that Yobokies sells for 31, so I'd say it was worth it to shop around. My whole build is going to cost me $150 including the donor watch because I shopped around and got some good deals.

Just get the tools first and then mod parts later. You'll need a case back wrench, hands presser, and crystal press if you are doing a full mod. You can find basic watch tool kits for about $15 that have most of what you need, but the hands presser and crystal press won't be in it. harbor freight sells the crystal press. Hands pressers can be found here and there depending on the type you want. Eslingers.com is a good place to look around for tools, but they all come from china anyway, so no harm in looking on ebay first.
