Saw this over on hodinkee:

http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/an-interview-with-automotive-and-watch-designer-matthew-humphries

Some familiar looking pieces, and some informed comments...

Shame Jake and Harold weren't credited by the seller...

EDIT: just had a look at the website that is selling them:

http://www.matthewhumphriesdesignwatches.com

And the vendor does state that the dials are dagaz (or degaz) dials.

Mixed feelings about this I suppose, no reason not to sell your mods, but the hodinkee article and the website make a big deal of Matthew's design credentials, it all seems a little disingenuous.

Off to work now...

Wow... There's nothing wrong with his mods per se... But the brand, the claims of handmade (just the straps and bought in no doubt), and the prices!! Quite outrageous.

Surely he had to pay Hodinkee for that article?

Degaz dials... Is that deliberate misspelling!!

That article made my blood boil. Why would a supposedly highly talented designer make mediocre custom seiko watches and make such a deal about it, sorry mate c- for lack of effort.

Good example of slick marketing and design over no real innovation. Wish him luck with that... probably just enhances his design portfolio...
