mmmmm lovely....just picked this up and know next to nowt about it! definitely one to split the opinions but i like it~! the caseback is stamped sample so not sure if this has had the movement dropped in later or if it was always a complete model.

All the answers I can find say it is fundamentally boiled yeast.

Gabe Marmite is the UK eqivalent of Australias Vegemite,Its a Brown Thick Yeast Extract that we put on hot toast on a morning.Its loved and Hated by everyone so not to everyones taste.Its also spooned into a cup and boiling water poured in to make a hot beefy style drink!!!
Me personally i like it but Ozzie Vegemite is far superior.
It has loads of B Vitamins and is actually very good for you but with a high dose of Salt content which i suppose is bad for the old blood pressure.
