Hey, I have a LM that won't quickset, but it is set to Kanji.

Any suggestions how to get English days (without opening the watch) ? Or should I leave it, as the day won't fit the date anyhow?

Have you tried pulling out the crown to the second position so you are turning the hands. Then turn them clockwise until the day moves from Kanji to English. Then gently turn the crown in the opposite direction so the hands move anticlockwise. Move the hands back about 3 hours. Then leave it to tick and see if stays showing the English day.
I would not recommend doing this if the quick set was already working as this is often what causes it to break but as yours is already not functioning I guess you do not have much to lose.

Mr Jones...do you have any pics or model number...this should be a easy fix...do not worry...God Bless John...worst case scenario...you have to remove the back if caseback is removable or have to do some disassembly if it is the one piece design...we will do our best to help you
