Hey guys I'm looking for aftermarket case backs that are sterile ( not ground down OEM ones) I need some with enough "meat" on them to do some relief engraving .
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I should've noted that , 7s26 or 6309 will do.

That's good info john thanks !so if one were to grind down until the "waves" were gone and was left with an absolute flat case back , do you think it could then be used to engrave another design ?

John what do you use to smooth it down ? Bench grinder or something more delicate ?
