My Silver Pogue is a 6139-6002 T "RESIST" Dial. It came on the president style bracelet. I have had 3 of these over the years all came on presidents. Make of that what you will as you say that's anecdotal not hard evidence.

Note: I am quite aware the tachy ring features the later "box under 60" but I just love the faded blue coloration on the silver dial that I am using it instead of an NOS "proper" bezel.

Let me add that for 1000% sure there was NEVER a silver dial SpeedTimer 6139-6000. Never.

That's weird. I always thought the Romans marked it as IV ...

In clock making "4" in Roman numerals is "IIII" as opposed to normal convention "IV"

They say it balances the "8" being "VIII" better on a clock or watch face. Check it out. Always "IIII".

When I had my chicklet I thought it was the most comfortable version.

I have had only good experiences with sellers in Venezuela. One guy used an old cigar wooden box, it fell out of whatever cardboard box he had, but he had the foresight to put a copy of the address label on the inner cigar box. So I got a call from FedEx saying my cigars were in their lost and found ! I was like 'if that's from Venezeula open it up and see if it's an old Seiko 6139-8022' which it was ! Anyway the guy was a great seller and I bought maybe 4 or 5 7016's from there over the years, too.

Thats a interesting speculation Brian. In fact the brown does not pop up often. The few I have seen, including mine, all have had the Chinese daywheel. My brown 6010 says hello.

Yes I have seen the brown dial version more than a few times over the years and never made the Chinese day wheel observation. Thank you for that Alex.

There's that one on ebay US that has a somewhat corroded dial that hasn't moved in months. I think if it looked pristine like yours it would have sold.

Has anyone seen any 6002 that comes with this tapered style of stelux bracelet?

I think this should clean nicely with a good relume job and service.

I think this could be the 6139-7002 style bracelet you show. The ratio of widths of side and center link pieces is different. I'd like to see underside photos when you get it.
