Cheers Mate, I may have to do that, I had a closer look and it is scratched very deep.

I got a very deep scratch out of one of my crystals a while back and it looked spot on.... then... 2 weeks sitting in my sock draw and bang it shattered all on it's own. There is a limit on how much glass one can remove it would seem
