Well, I have no hard feeling as someone obviously wanted the complete H558-5000 repair case (everything bar movement/dial/hands/shroud/strap) more than me.

But does this mean that i have stepped up a level in my WIS? As actively chasing spare parts and a project watch. I have parts coming in from Stefan also. These will be put to the side for next time.

Plus i'm watching watches for donner movements.

The joy that is Seiko.....

Hi Ian, what other parts are you missing? Do you need a new Stainless Steel 316L DLC Black shroud upgrade? Or maybe this project is a polished H558 version. See my shrouds for sale here on SCWF. Kind regards Wayne

Hi Wayne,

I've seen a write up on your shrouds. Looks great. But wish i had seen it before i ordered another one from the states.

So, I have a A/M shroud, NOS movement back plate, NOS stem male part , NOS crown and a nice flat vent Seiko strap.

Apart a case, movement (just waiting on the win), bezel, dial, crystal and hands. I'm good to go LOL!

Hi Ian, what's the latest up date with Steve "H558" Austin.
What parts are left now to source?

That is half the fun of putting the older Seiko's back together. Chasing down parts, outbidding other on eBay and then waiting for that lovely package to arrive with those goodies! It's like Xmas when the tracking number shows your new project is "out for delivery"

well hello Craig...he sells them on the Trading post...and he is great to deal with too...once you get at least 5 posts you can pm other members too..so look around and check everything out and enjoy the site...great to have you with us...God Bless John....i have always liked the H558 myself but never had one yet...

well i had to sell the H601 i had...needed the funds more than the watch...but no worries..there is lots more to save...God Bless John

Hi John, sorry to here about your selling of the H601, but I know what you mean. These Seiko projects sure do hit the bank hard. Maybe Luke could sell you one of his H601s. Or join the Arnie H558 brigade. All the best take care Wayne
