Just had a little cry.

Well, received the "7C43 7000" case today, that was going to finish my project. Opened parcel, well wrapped, happy. Inspected case, not too shabby and markings in order, turned bezel, odd, bi-directional, only JDM have those, not to worry, get that bezel off quick (ever hopeful). Found knife, found bezel cut out, pop, bit of bezel gasket falls out, no problems, then the crystal retaining ring stares at me laughing. Yep, you guessed it, 7548 case masquerading as a 200m Professional Diver, lucky it stopped laughing, before I turned it to scrap.
To all those who have a 7C43 project, good luck, you'll need it. Had a few PMs about my movement and what not, but I've got to finish this project, too much money invested and I'm stupidly stubborn.
P.S Please be kind, I'm feeling a little fragile. Oh, and here's some pics!

Sorry to hear that, you saved me some $$$s as I fancied it for a TST mod.

Spares seem to be hard to find for these, I have been after a bezel for the case on the left for ages now, notice that case has the springs for the bezel rather than the click ball.

I also have a 7C43-6010 empty case which up to now i have been unable to fill.

I have only just noticed the difference in the crown area of these two.

I used a modified 7S26 bezel spring to replace a missing one from a watch I bought (it was a 7C43 though). The JDM version doesn't have the wedge cut out. Don't have a ball and spring bezel on any of mine, but know they exist, that's why I wasn't fussed when the bezel spun both ways.
Spares are massively limited on these, it's chronic. Just got to keep looking. In my case (no pun intended) in vain :)

That's a shame... I had interest in that one too. Gutting when they turn out not to be what you hoped for. However you have the 2nd prize in the lottery of a 7548 case and a 7C43 back. There will be a use and market for both.

7C43 are rare birds to find in a great condition and parts very scarce. I feel fortunate to have my wabi cased example.

I have the correct springs but not the bezel which is quite a lot smaller than the click ball one which is the same as a 6309-704X bezel fitting.
well i have a very nice 7548 case back if you want to trade for the 7c43 case back.....i am building my 7c43 and they are hard to find parts for sure.....i was unaware that the jdm version had the click ball and no cut out...thanks for the info...

Even those springs are unobtainable, never mind the bezel :(.
I have a complete 7548 case, and one without its case back now. So all I need is a case for a 7C43, with crystal retainer and I'm on the home stretch!

That's a shame dude but something will turn up

my thoughts exactly. dig deep mate!!!
I've had some of the final price refunded, so that's eased the "pain" a little bit. I know there was controversy over the link to the live 7C43 auction, but wish I'd saved my pocket money and got that one.
