The 6309-7040 looks like a very nice suwa dial example. Bezel insert looks original, I'd leave it exactly as it is. I don't know what the 6349 movement is doing inside though, I have a 6309-7290 with a 6349 in it, and I was told the original must have been replaced at some point...who knows for sure?

As I understand, the 6349 only came as standard in dress watches. But that wouldn't have stopped it from being used as an 'upgrade' option when your watch was taken in for service or repair I suppose?
