they say that these night monsters are "Movement Malaysia, Cased in China".
I'm sure Seiko follow strict quality standards that regardless where they are made, they will be of the same quality as other models made in other places. but one would expect that if it is tagged as a JDM model, it is made in Japan

and right on the back of the case, it says exactly what his website says. while i'd prefer made in japan FOR japan, it's still a very nice watch!
