But finally came together a few weeks ago after acquiring all the necessary bits + bobs. I've always liked the 6106-8207 blue dial and always liked the similar Mods others have done using a 6309 movement +case. After all, Blue is one of my favorite colors........

It started with a "lot" of hands acquired from Jake way back when while he was Modding in Canada after he started doing some sublet work for Noah. That was some time ago but time flies when your having fun with Watches. As time went on I acquired parts from a few other generous members. Spencer sent me a movement, "probably in need of service" according to him, for the cost of postage. Thanks again Spencer! Remember how long ago that was?? Well, so far it's running great without a service.

I was short a case without any crown - stem issues, day and date wheels for a crown at the 4 o'clock position, and the various case parts: crown, stem, gaskets, and crystal along with the donor dial. John, aka Mr. Spares, offered up a day + date wheel and sent it across the pond at no charge. Thank you John! Yes, you're older now and probably Don't remember...

Over time, a long time, all my parts were acquired. My most recent acquisition was a nice case + bezel assy with decent crown threads. I had a nos Seiko crown + stem assy, all the gaskets, crystal, bezel insert from Jake, and donor watch for the dial. I went to work cleaning the case, giving it a light re-brushing by hand, and a light hand polish. It all came together on a Sat. afternoon but one thing missing was a decent bracelet. I looked through my spares and found a nice slotted "H" link bracelet I liked but unfortunately no end link to fit the case. I knew what was ahead. The most time consuming part of any Mod - Restoration is modifying end links to fit a watch case. Not only did the end links I had not fit my case but they didn't fit the bracelet either. That meant twice as much work. I have almost as much time fabricating the end links as I have in the whole watch project.........

Well, here she is..........

Appreciate the kind words everyone. I also like the orange + blue combo and ponder the thought of going back in to change the chapter ring to orange to match the hands.

The Orange ring might really set it off much more also.
But very nice and supremely clean I would say.
