If this is not a frankenstein (I doubt it) it's the first time I ever see something like it.
Interesting for sure.

Call it what it is. When did Citizen stop stenciling the caliber and model number under (not over) the 6 o'clock index? Even for a lowly Citizen 7?

That certainly looks odd to me...

Hmm, there was a thread on another forum about a very very similar watch with the same case and dial recently and after checking out the auction listing it does seem to be using a legitimate 8200 movement.

I dont know...

Look at this from another angle: $30 for the Miyota 8200 movement + appropriate costs for the casing and bracelet. Did the buyer come out ahead, assuming the buyer likes the style?

actually I kinda liked it...and I did put in a low bid of 20USD

I mean to me it does seem like a legit movement and at worst its a bogus case with a genuine dial and a reused bracelet from the citizen original watch.

From all the Roley fakeys Ive seen here in manila that cost up to 100USD ( they call it triple A class) where the movement is of unknown origins...a genuine citizen movement and bracelet + fakey case+ the effort to etch a logo onto the crown and to recase the movt for 70 bucks may not be such a bad deal if youre into that sort of thing.

But calling it a NOS citizen may be a bit of a stretch. Ah well its the Bay...what are you gonna do!

Thanks for all the responses!
