Interesting Seiko Diver Iranian Military From King of Iran Shah Mohammad Pahlavi from 1973. Model 7005-8140. 4 more hours to go. BTW I am not the seller.

The added text on the caseback looks recessed and stamped (like it would have been at the time of production at the Seiko factory) vs machine or hand engraved later in life.

I think it may be a real "issue" (military or ceremonial) watch depending on what all of that text translates to.

You are very correct on this Watch

I have read that they were made for the ..........
" Elite Royal Iranian Guards ".
Contracted by " Iranian King , Shah Mohamad Palavi "

It is said to be Authentic (Legitimate) from the article when it was researched I was reading.
Only a ( certain amount ) were contracted ( Special ordered )
for them using Seiko's.

It's interesting, I feel like that one has been on before and didn't sell at a much lower price but maybe it is a different watch... Either way, interesting!

I almost bid on that watch at the time but I was not sure if it was worth the asking price. I would love to have one. I saved the picture in my Seiko picture collection. I love the logo on the dial.
