The added text on the caseback looks recessed and stamped (like it would have been at the time of production at the Seiko factory) vs machine or hand engraved later in life.

I think it may be a real "issue" (military or ceremonial) watch depending on what all of that text translates to.

I have read that they were made for the ..........
" Elite Royal Iranian Guards ".
Contracted by " Iranian King , Shah Mohamad Palavi "

It is said to be Authentic (Legitimate) from the article when it was researched I was reading.
Only a ( certain amount ) were contracted ( Special ordered )
for them using Seiko's.

I almost bid on that watch at the time but I was not sure if it was worth the asking price. I would love to have one. I saved the picture in my Seiko picture collection. I love the logo on the dial.
