I've always liked this motorcycle model. What did you trade for it? Did you trade with Nathan?
Not Nathan, trade from WUS. I traded my Citizen Perpetual Calendar and an Android Volcano. I really like everything about this watch except the rose gold. I have never been a rose gold fan, I thought I would give it a try. Still on the fence......you may see this one up for grabs sooner then later.....LOL
My bet is you will love it. The rose gold looks fabulous. The details and design stunning! Congratulations on your trade. Be sure to report back.
Though I'm also on the fence about rose gold, that looks VERY nice!

LOL, I just recognzed Nathans pictures. He always has those twigs as a backdrop.

This is a nice looking model. I think you made out well on your trade.
I think it looks great. But letting go a Citizen Perpetual Calendar for an automatic is blasmephy!!! :))

Yeah, but I read it takes 15 minutes to set those darn things.
Is there another version of this watch that's not in rose gold?

Same amount of time it takes to shake a non-hand winding automatic, set time/date. :))

Of course!

(Damn! I just noticed that Orient has pulled off the entire Retrofuture collection from the international market. They are now strictly JDM.... :-[ )

In the following Yeoman blog link you'll find the newly re-designed Retrofuture Bike models. These are now only sold in the JDM and I assume this to be Orient's reaction to the overall poor reception and sales the original 2005 Retrofutures had in export markets:

Below you'll find new and old retrofutures currently sold in the JDM:

Notice the all new models at the top of the row.

The OP's gold rose Retrofuture Bike is indeed a JDM model and was never sold in export markets.

I had seen those watches before, but they hadn't caught my eye. But looking through them now, there are at least two or three that I would love to have!

With my current bike phase (again... ::) ), this would be perfect:

I guess then I would finally have an excuse to get a road bike... :D

My favorite Retrofuture was the Airplane model. The only one that had a sapphire crystal BTW. Too bad it was axed.

I still think it is so cool that with the old motorcycle version the numbers are printed un the underside of the dial. You can see it well in this picture where they actually case a shadow on the dial. I guess this makes crystal replacement a potential issue, but maybe it still looks good without the numbers.
