Very nice catch! I believe it is a 700F : )
It is indeed, wondered where it went .
Regards, David
Strange fact, I've had a lot of 6309-729x and four 7548-700x, mostly I find the 6309 dials have deteriorated but all the 7458 dials seem to stay quite good, luckily as they are in shorter supply. The lume dies of course but in general they age far better.
Anyone else notice this?
It is indeed a 700F
Now have I the funds to TST it? Do I leave it and look for a pepsi insert??
Ill see when it arrives

Leave it. These don't grow on trees.

Best wishes,
Myles
If its hard to get , leave it

Lot of potential on that one lewie. If it is close to original , just get it going and cleaned up and keep it.
Good catch lewie.
Not sure on the bezel insert- no pip
Any thought - try to get a pip or replace with an aftermarket ? Hoping this will arrive tomorrow and I'll update

Go for a after market as anything will look better than whats on it now :)
Extreme wabi:)
No i would say thats knackered :)
congrats on your 7548, they are very good and rare indeed, I think Yobokies selling a very good AM bezel which looks very close to the original.

I disagree! Loving the worn bezel insert, I'd replace the pip and keep on trucking.
My old 7548 bezel says hello

On the TST front, I wouldn't do it personally to a functional and original watch which has history, I got a 7548 case, now saving a funds to have it done, as a case is a case, not even a worn bezel insert, sob :) . It has been done though, I read on a blog once something like "We only modify watches for self gratification, not to please others".
7548s never age in my opinion, my other black bezel insert variants look stunning for their age, more than can be said for their owner. Re-born as a 7548 in a next life maybe :).

That's a 7548 worth reviving. If you want an aftermarket Pepsi bezel insert with a little forced wear/fading and big pip then PM me I can help out. It would look better than a box fresh aftermarket - more commensurate with age of the watch.

You'll probably find a more knackered one for a TST project will feel better for the soul...

Mine was this...

Now this - sort of :)

The case went to TST and the internals went to a 7548 case but I could have used the whole lot in the TST.
and now...

This also shows a couple of forced patina inserts I did from new aftermarket parts.

I'm going to try to save it and get a better bezel insert-
I'll save the TST for something in worse condition.
I think the seller had this from new so I'm hoping it's all original
Thanks mrwozza
That looks GOOD Brad !!!!

I have this heading into the "factory" :) I can just about live with the insert on this (just :) ).

I like it!! Owned from new, even better, weird he/she sold it, as it still works I take it, oh well. Like to see the finished product, and what insert you decide upon.
Mr Wozza, that is a Pepsi insert I'm talking about! This is why I stick with originals, or buy parts watches, just for an insert.

Good original Pepsi inserts are quite hard to come by... I do know what a Pepsi is though! I just offer up that you can take one like this and force a little patina with various methods - this one is only very lightly faded, but I've done more worn, faded examples that look pretty good. It's an option if all hunting fails or as a temporary fix whilst the hunt continues:)
