This morning...removed end link from Anvil on 6309-7049 to re-adjust fit to case, shook a bit for some charge, set AM/PM, sitting at time.gov waiting to synch on the minute (hacking kit is in da house), set date, screw down crown, attempt to put on wrist. Neglected to remove other watch first. :-[ Need more coffee.

I've been stupidly burned by a hot pan before. I pulled it out of the hot oven using one of those pads/matts/whatever they are, placed it on the stove, and turned around to grab a plate. After getting the plate, I turned right back around to get the pan, only I had forgotten it was fresh out of the oven. yep, I grabbed the hot pan handle bare handed.

It didn't help that I was drunk at the time as well, because my reaction and my pain reception was drastically delayed. My very first thought after plating the food was, "This pan feels funny, it doesn't feel normal" Then I thought "This pan is kinda warm, actually" then "hmmm, weird. my hand is starting to hurt now" then "OMG, this pan is scorching hot!" I must have held onto the stupid thing for at least 5 seconds. My palm and fingers blistered up a great deal and the span of my palm was pretty much one big blister.
