well hey if you can help him...you never know..hey may sell it to you when he wants too..
I plan on hooking him up with Spencer AND asking for right of first refusal should he ever decide to sell.well hey if you can help him...you never know..hey may sell it to you when he wants too..
This will be interesting to see just which model it turns out to be.
Maybe a 62MAS? Your desired 6105?
Suspense !
Don't I wish Tom . . .Most folks are not Crazy Goons like us WISer's who would dump 100 bucks in a "old" watch.
When he finds out how much it will cost to get her up and running again he may just give it to you Bob............![]()
Nah . . . . .hmmm....
I don't want to be "out of order" on this one, but if it turns out to be a 6105 or above, I would suggest that the end justifies the means : without going as far as killing or stealing, getting a fellow watch repairman to tell your neighbor the watch can't be fixed sounds like something to consider
(after all, the really important thing is it ends up in the hands of someone who appreciates it AND makes sure it gets preserved for future generations: technically, you wouldn't be working for your own personal profit but rather for the sake of the Seiko diver heritage preservation, right... ;-)

Let cooler heads prevailNah . . . . .
I've still gotta get up in the morning and shave myself!
I'll be square with him and let him know what he's got and what it's worth. I'll recommend Spencer to get it back in running order and see what happens. I'm hoping he gets tired of that "old cheapo Seiko" in preference to his Rolex and offer it to me for sale.
Worst case, I'll ask him if he'd be kind enough to give me right of first refusal should he decide to sell if it's something I can afford. If not, I'll offer to help him sell it for what it's worth.
in case some didn't get it, the above was A JOKE : long years in the banking industry may have had a detrimental effect on my morals, but not this bad...without going as far as killing or stealing, getting a fellow watch repairman to tell your neighbor the watch can't be fixed sounds like something to consider
