First post, and a question for starters :)

I recently purchased this second hand Citizen quartz.

It runs smooth and after some cleaning it shines super. As always, the photo does not resemble the real state. There are some scratches on the glass but not as bad as the photo implies.

Specs:
Citizen quartz
water resist 100

day/date in French and English

backplate:
Citizen watch co.
4-211448 K
00300533
GN-4W-S
44-8338
all stainless steel
water resistant
japan

wrist band
2860
citizen markings on clip

movement
Citizen 1200B ?

The movement does not show up on internet. I guess it's a 2xxx series movement but am not sure.

Any clues on age, modelname of number? With Seiko's it's a lot easier to decrypt the watch ;)
I have another Titanium Citizen wich I can't find a second one on the internet. Bad luck two times or a Citizen more a mystery.

As for age it most likely is from 1980 March, from the first 3 numbers in the serial #.
I do not think it is from 1990 as the casestyle looks rather late 70`s or early 80`s and
also the use of CQ mark on the dial.
An nice watch I think and in decent condition, these watches often is in much worse
condition after being worn for 30 years.

Congrats!

thnx for your answer! It looks late 70s/ early 80s for me too to be honest.
For now, it runs smooth.

I'm thinking of putting it on a brown leather strap instead of this stainless steel one, but perhaps it's more original and in balance right now.
