BTW, Seiko 5 is a brand, not a watch model. There are literally hundreds of seiko 5 models both current and vintage, which use a very wide variety of case and bracelet designs.
As for changing the strap, not all bracelet designs use cross drilled lugs or links. A strap changing tool will do a long way toward helping you remove the pins from the lug holes. If you need instructions check out the following:
