i love the idea of using a older wooden box and make the insert myself...maybe some of you have a wood box just laying around too

That is a great idea, I would need the glass top for the Eco-Drives, I dont know how i didn't think of this since i use a cigar box for my "clunkers" i never wear.

I used a humidor for years for this purpose. Worked great while they fit, but eventually moved to a Gerstner wooden tool chest with numerous drawers etc....

Here is what I used to use for the collection:

Now it holds the watches that are or will soon be on the selling block. I really need to get back to listing those is what going to take this picture makes me realize.

Ok, time to turn this idea into an actual project

A search of my local Craigslist found 2 Humidors for $20.00 each, listed for over 2 months!!!!

I offered $10.00 for both and he took the deal.

now I will attempt to line them with felt and buy or create matching pillows

here is the "Before" pics, hope to have some "after" pics soon

I will keep track of total cost and share later

I found some cheap watch pillows from china on ebay
$1.55 for 5 of them with free shipping..... how do they do that?
I'm sure the quality is terrible but I ordered them X2
that will give me 10 pillows for $3.10 shipped

I bought those same pillows, 25 of them (X5). Quality is not that great, but it gets the job done.

A local craft and furnishings store should be able to supply sticky-backed felt.
