hey i was looking today as always and seen a Seiko marked on the wheel ...Seiko Time Corp...assembled in Taiwan Japanese parts..how long did this happen?...anyone ever hear of this?...i was very surprised...

Same Seiko parts, same Seiko robots, same Seiko factory design, a different country and less import tax for parts than whole watches and tax breaks for a "home country" company.

Taiwan actually has very good quality control laws in place :) That said a friend of mine has two modern(ish) Seiko divers watches and one had worn out the self winder already :eek:

well this a old watch..70's..maybe older..just never seen those markings...

so it was a limited thing..i wonder if it makes it more or less valuable to be made there?..
