Looks very serviceable... I would move on it but bad timing for me.

well it looks very nice...i would love to get it but bad timing for me too...thanks for heads up...
that was a great buy for sure
I hope! Might be a while though until I show the watch here, too many projects...
Glad it went to somebody here:)
That was allot of cash for a non working movement so I had to pass on it also.
A so so case only went for not much less the other day... 7C43 seem to be either vgc and priced accordingly or salvage jobs... not too many come up in average working condition. It just pays to ask a bunch of questions of the seller and get as many photos as possible I guess.

I was surprised at that as i felt certain I would win it for a TST :(

ps: Rule 15

Maybe the movement is dead, into a "long term project drawer" it will go, I'm very patient :) maybe cleaning and lubing will be enough.

Sorry about that... wasn't sure about item number but just saying 7C43 would be enough to find easily. Still learning...

Good luck I hope it works out for you, parts are a pain to get for the 7c43 and you can buy some of the parts new but they aren't cheap at all. For that price I would stick with a 7548 which are super reliable and easy to get parts for it but that just my own opinion of course.

Congrats again

I have a working movement, face and hands for that case. Not doing another 7C43 project for a while now, too much stress, too much money :) .

Did you pick up 'that' case then? The one on the bay last week?
What was condition like in the flesh...

It hasn't arrived yet, still waiting for the snail mail, and I am a little nervous it'll be a lot worse than imagined. Everything will go in to the case regardless. That's all I'm saying for now .

The "heads up" watch arrived, I'll make some pics soon. It's a genuine 7c43, seems to be complete, bent backplate of the movement, (I can fix that) geartrain is allright, little wire sticking out of coil. So I'll need at least a coil. (or fix this one)
That's a relief we can talk about it now;-) sounds like it turned out to be ok. Congrats!

Well it looks very nice, blueish dial, totally worn bezel insert, weird looking lume in the hands...

The back, complete with shield thingy and bent backplate and dead coil.

the coil might be dead, but the circuit is alive and ticking ;)
