When I saw the absurd prices on eBay,I tried to put a medium price for it.3 weeks and nothing, tried here but got booted because I guess I don't have enough posts,I had enough with the older SCWF but I don't post here as much.

So what's a fair price for this watch ? Without low balling ? It has no box.

Thanks...

Stick around a see what's going on, soon you'll be well equipped to know the valuation on your own.

I would not know myself about that particular model.
Umm. Why don't you list it on Ebay if that model is selling for a good price on there?

Don't have enough post count yet. I'm selling this on eBay for the 3rd time.
You can list on eBay anytime you wish.

What did the previous Ebay ones "allegedly" sell for?

What was you opening bid?

With all of the shilling on Ebay just because you saw one or 2 sell for $800 and you can't get $the $300 opening bid on yours (or whatever the real world numbers were) goes to show that if you want the real world value of any collectible ti is what someone else is willing to pay and Ebay is the current price guide (less the shilling)
Nice advert for your watch.....

My thoughts exactly!

List the watch on eBay with a .99 start price and no reserve- it will achieve its current market value.

Generally the only reason people struggle to sell anything is because they want too much money for it. You can sell literally anything if the price is right.
Ebay will, generally speaking find the real value of your watch as long as it is described and photographed correctly... The fact you have either not had any bids at your start price or you have been unhappy with what was bid suggests you have an idea of what you want but the market doesn't agree with you, so, adjust your expectations or keep it.....
Maybe the £460 starting price is putting people off
When this was first posted my initial (cynical) thought was that it was a back door approach to sell the watch which the OP was not allowed to post on the TF.

I was going to delete right away but I thought I would let it run and see how we all as members felt about this type of post which is imo obviously trying to circumvent the rules.

Delete it and we could be accused of being draconian or leave it as is and allow the rules to be "got round".

What do we say ? are we bothered? do we give a dam ?
Delete, no and NO.

Blatant.
Play by the Rules or move on.
Well...I know that they are hard to sell, especially in EU.
Most guys (outside the watch fora) don't know sh!t when it comes to these rare and special watches, no matter if it is Seiko, Citizen or any other brand that has/had some unusual watches in the market.
They are worth the price that guy is asking I'd say, at least when they come as a full package.
However...ebay isn't a good place to determine the price of these watches.
Better would be to be patient...introduce you and yourself to the community, be part of it, try to learn about your watch as much as possible.
And...when you have been part of the community for a few month and still want to sell this very special watch of yours, no one would argue :)
:iagree:
Come on...you're 8 posts away...it's a nice uncommon watch you've got there, spend some time here, you might not even want to let it go.

I've been part of this community since 2007 and maybe before check here I used to post on the older Network54 forums, but I have not have time to post here as much I used too.

Yeah I see what happens on eBay if doesn't sell I save it.
Welcome back Marcelo! It has been a while.

I'm the one who traded that watch to you back in 2009. It had been a 'grail' of mine for a long time. About a year after we swapped I was able to snag another one with the full kit NOS except for the bracelet. It had been found in a watchmakers back room and had never been worn - the blue sticker on the back was still in pristine condition. I picked it up on the 'bay for $500 shipped. I have to think that the battery had been changed at some point and I have not had to do it in the 4 years I've owned it. I still periodically check for current prices and am amazed at what is being asked. I have to really wonder if any are actually sold for the $1500 - $2600 asking prices.

Hang in there and it will sell at some point.
