That's definitely the perfect watch to wear for Canada day, Dave! I'm staying with my Precista, marked "England" on the dial. Canada's a colony of the United Kingdom, right? :D

This one - real high-performer and tough but unassuming - just like Canada 8)

Is the Maple Leaf Marathon a special edition or a custom?

Hi, special LE of 500 pieces I think. Was made for the RCMP at the Vancouver olympics.
Supposedly won't be reproduced again, and only issue for Canadian gov't/RCMP/army.
Kinda strange, a Canadian watch co. produces watches, sells to US Gov't only. Will not sell in Canada, or to Canadians until this issue, and won't be done again.
Can you see the wacky irony eh?? Don't get it? But love this one. Runs great, solid, only 42mm but wears bigger, like the monster. Has tritium tubes which glow thru the night nicely. Like Rudolph glowing all the time for the herd at night in the dark. ;)

Cheers, Dave.
^-^ Dave they say there a lot of trees in Canada, you could do with a good saw, have a great day. Bob.

Nice one Mike, so how do you like the tritium tubes?
Initially I was disappointed with their luminance because of my ignorance. But I LOVE tritium, glows forever, well for the time being.
Cheers, Dave.
So far I like it, Dave. I won the watch in a Karma drawing on another forum, and the chap who donated the watch said it had poor lume. Initially, I agreed, as it just can't be seen in even a moderately dimly lit room, but I have worn it all night the last two nights and it is very readable in a dark bedroom. I'm at least the third owner, so I have no idea where it stands in half-life, but it should be legible for years to come.

Wow, very cool. I love it. Yes very wacky indeed. I'm sure our tax dollars are involved somehow.
