In march of 2022 we lost all what we had in Mariupol and now we at evacuation in Dnepr Region of Ukraine.
I have huge collection of various watches most of this is created in USSR, also I own Asian watches, SWISS Made watches and European watches too - This is the most valuable thing that we managed to take with us from Mariupol. The house burned down, almost all things remained there...
I am very glad that I found this forum. I hope I like it here and it will be possible to renounce the current problems.
By education, I am a programmer, sites/forums creator, webmaster and Internet promotion specialist, so if you have any questions feel free to DM to me.
Here is few my asian watches (any of them available for sale in my own shop - we try to collect funds with my mother to stay in evacuation. We have nowhere to return to Mariupol) from collection, hope it is normal to post it in this thread. Can't find place where I might post pics from all my watches collection...
Hello Tatiana, thanks for the pics of your collection, once you have participated on the site long enough and have a sufficient post count you can use the marketplace to post watches for sale. There are sticky's that outline the requirements. Not to be the bearer of bad news but all of the Asian models you posted are really outside of what most Seiko collectors are looking for and hence they are not going to have a ton of value. New sellers to any of the watch forums also have to overcome their "newness" to really be able to market watches. The old saying in watch collecting is "buy the seller not the watch" nowadays established sellers are also leery of new buyers and in many cases they will not sell to a buyer with no history. Best of luck!
Welcome, Tatiana! Nice to see another woman.here. Hope you enjoy it.
Vince is correct about selling here. 99% of our members are guys, and most of your watches are not their size or style. As for me, I like larger guys’ watches or unisex watches, either brand new, or vintage Seikos.
Good luck selling in your store.
I'm own around 350-400 wristwatches from soviet-era, Japanese watches, European watches< USA watches & SWISS watches too. Many watches I'm post at my collection thread at watchfreeks.com & at my own shop, but not enought a time to make pics for all & post all at once... very hard to survive in new town & without work. (If someone need help with sites/forums, SEO-optimization, SMM, coding - feel free to contact me)
Guys - here a same rules for post watches in For Sale section - two months after registration & 100 or 150 messages, right?
Basically, my collection consists of watches which my dad has been collecting since the 1970s, and after my dad's death from covid in 2021, I continued to replenish my father's collection. But as soon as badboysb from ruzzzia started bombing our city - Mariupol, together with my mother, we collected things and, among other things, took with us a collection of watches.
In the spring of this year, my mother and I made a difficult decision for us to make our own online store and sell the collection in order to raise funds for the purchase of a small house in the village here - in Dnepr region, since now we cannot return to Mariupol for a number of reasons...
