Cleaning out a few projects and watches sourced from a local watchmaker's estate
Up for consideration is a modified seiko 6309-7040. This particular watch was sourced from Jonathan's estate (Swedefreak).
I am NOT the builder of this watch but I have checked it over and can offer a few particulars associated with the watch based on my observations
Case appears to have been properly refinished at some point, most likely by Jonathan. Case lines are all crisp and straight. The topside surfaces have been properly rebrushed and the remainder of the case has a veru nice polished finish which appears to match oem spec.
The crown takes 1 1/2 full turns to close
The bezel clicks and rotates as it should
The gaskets appear new
The double domed 6105 crystal is clear overall, but I can detect 2 small scratches around the 10 o'clock area as can be seen in the macro photo below.
The windowed caseback has been sterilized by Jonathan
The 6309a movt appears clean and runs strong keeping good time, service history is unkown to me.
This watch has been modified with a new silver sunburst Tsunami dial and hand set from Jake at Dagaz. The lume is excellent and glows like a torch.
The watch will ship with a unworn generic rubber diver strap
