Hello to all!

Up for sale is a Citizen shrouded diver with 8951 Ana-Digi movement as a project watch.

Not many people know about this model, this is really a hard to find watch, especially this white dialed version, so I think the term "rare" fits perfect to this watch.

This Ana-Digi model with the 8951 movement was probably Citizens answer to the popular Seiko Ana-Digi Diver, the famous H558 "Arnie" model and the H601 sports divers line.

Check out the photo with my Seiko H601-5481 (this watch is NOT for sale!) to see the similarities.

The Citizen is a big watch, app. 43mm without the pushers/crown.

The watch is in visible used condition, the shroud looks nice, no cracks or anything like that.

Glass and bezel have visible scratches/spots/marks.

Spots are on the glass not on the dial - the dial is clean.

Bezel moves smooth in both directions.

Analog time works and keeps exact time.

Light shines bright, alarm works and can be activated.

The former owner scratched his initials into the stainless steel case back - it´s not too deep, so maybe it can be polished out by a skilled watchmaker.

Now to the sad side of the story:

The watch has a problem with the mode button.

The crown on these models works as a mode button too, but sadly it does not work on this watch.

I never found out what the problem is, why the mode button is not working as it should. My watchmaker said it must be a movement problem.

So I searched for a fully functional spare movement 895X for a long time and finally found a perfect working one, housed in a typical 80ies style black coated Citizen Ana-Digi Chronograph.

But since I am putting a new focus in my collection and do not want to invest any more time or money in this project, I am offering the shrouded diver and the watch with the donor movement for sale now.

Beside the two watches, included in the sale is a printout of the 23 pages technical information for the 895X movement in English and a new black Nato-Strap.

So all in all this is a nice project for someone who has the time and spirit or knows someone who has the skills to help this rare vintage Citizen to get a shiny new life again.

Asking Price for the whole package: * SOLD 60 Euros * including shipping in the EU.

If you are not from Europe, the shipping costs depend on the country you are living in.

I would prefer that buyers from Europe would pay via bank transfer with IBAN, so the payment via paypal is only possible for buyers outside of the EU.

I have not sold anything here at SCWF but had sucessfull watch deals with Watchuseek and MWR members and can provide references if needed and expect the same from the buyer.
You can find feedback about me at the watch deals corner over at Watchuseek.

If you are interested please drop me a line via PM using the forum´s built in messaging system.

Thanks for reading.

Greetings from Germany.
