Hi there

First I must say a big thanks to the SCWF, it's members, contributors and the guy's who take the time and effort to run it.
A quick read through the Orient section of the Forum was all it took to identify this watch and give me all the information I needed to justify a purchase.
Thanks Guy's, having that sort of knowledge and enthusiasm at your fingertips, for free, is a joy.
One day when I've learned something I'll try and pay back some.

Anyway, enough of the serious stuff, on to the watch.

Fished this Blue Beast out of the Bay this weekend.

Wasn't supposed to be buying, was supposed to be selling, but this was just sitting there all lonely and unloved.
Hung about till near the auction end and it was going for peanuts with one bid so I couldn't resist.
It arrived in the post this morning and I love it !!.

It's not the most subtle watch I've ever seen ( and that's from a habitual Orange Monster wearer ) but it just makes me smile.
The Two-Tone adds a bit of bling that's totally at odds with it's diver's pretensions, but I think that just adds to it's charm.

A quick scrub with a toothbrush and some soapy water and it was looking good.
Bezel was seized, but a bit of persusion and some GT85 got it loosed off some.
Spookily enough the strap was the perfect size.

If I've got the hang of the New board you should now see some pictures !!!!.

Thanks for sharing my joy

Nice pick up. Demure that one is not. Glad you got a real one and not one of those cheesey fakes using that case and a fake Mako dial and hands.

Nice plug for the reviews. Feel free to contribute some of your own.

Thanks for that nhoJ.

Not so much plugging the reviews as really giving credit where it's due.
The amount I have learned from this forum is truly humbling.

Saw the fakes with the Mako dial's.
Sad to say they were out of my price range.

Did manage to get a 7S26-7039 fake pulled off eBay, from a UK seller, last week, so maybe I'm doing my bit.

Kind Regards

Graham

Nice catch Graham!

That looks very good. And does look from the 80's (not that that is a bad thing, I personally like 80's stuff).
And oh, welcome aboard!

Fanatastic catch. Love the blue dial.
I've been search for these beast for a while now.
Just recently I got a red one. I want them all. ;)

Enjoy that beast.
