Higuchi states these (along with some new spirits, GS's, and some ladies pieces) will be in his possession Apr 21st for sale. The big river in Japan has listed for $275 USD

This watch is quite nice but IMO just another 'safe' designed Seiko watch..
pretty standard dial design although its solar powered..

good thing is that it does have drilled thru lugs for easier strap change and the nicely done bezel with raised numerals..

why isnt there any seiko divers that can have separate day and date(one near 9 and the other neat 3 0clock) like old sportsmatic/seikomatic(cant remember which one)

Solar huh? I wonder if this is any indication of seiko's and their future choice for recharging batteries?

I would not be surprised if they are making a very quiet but definite move away from quartz-kinetic technology. They know that the only way to restore lost ground to Citizen's Eco-Drive is to counter-attack with quartz-solar movements. I still think Citizen has a clear lead in solar technology and Seiko has some significant catching up to do.

In the end, I am glad to see Seiko moving away from Kinetics and reason #1 when it comes to purely quartz, Seiko doesn't even enter my radar screen.

How this Seiko solar diver compare against a Citizen Eco-Zilla?

Hard to tell, as long as we don't have a review.

Seems like

scuba vs professional
OEM bracelet vs rubber
11,4 mm vs 18 mm
dress diver vs ultra massive diver
probably 42- 44 mm vs 48 mm
crown @ 3 vs crown @ 9

Did I miss something?

yes. 200 m vs 300 m!

I'm looking for a work watch to replace my Luminox....have been looking at eco's they never let me down, but then I heard about this. I've just been drawn to SEIKO a lot lately. The hunt continues!

I've heard their song "Follow You" before. Always interested to hear more songs from bands I have heard and liked. Thanks, and ^-^ back!
