Hi guys, i wonder if the electronic things will fail due to age? What is the longevity of a quartz?
Thanks in advance.

They're very reliable, in general. The electronic components rarely "release the smoke".
Normally it's battery leaks that kill them. LCD's may degrade and go brown, or the gear train may get gummed up.
But any movement can be broken by impact, it just varies on case design and how well the movement has been designed against shock.
I have several 7A28s that I was given by my parents in the '80s and they still run well and keep excellent time.

+1 - I have two 7A28's that I purchased in the 80's and both still run fine.

Great movements and beautiful designs. I think that the 7A28s were some of Seiko's classic quartz watches.
most watches no matter if quartz or automatic can all be brought back unless damage from battery or water..they are very easy to work on and well worth trying too...
