My 8 month-old Cocktail Time changes the date every 25.5 hours and never changes in the first pulled-crown position. My watchmaker suggested before he cracked open an under-warranty watch that I try Seiko Service or try to return it to Macy’s first. Any recommendations from the community as to what may be wrong? I’m concerned with just sending it to US Seiko service.
For the record, out of the box it changed dates at midnight while setting the time for the first few months, I’ve never adjusted the date between 9pm and 3 am, and I hand wind it when it runs down.
(Nube, first poster, be gentle if I’m clearly being a dope.)

Over the interweb diagnosics is very hit and miss, it could be this, or that, or the other, the only sure way of fault finding is by examination of the movement.

Your watch maker speaks very wise words.
Take it back to the place of purchase and complain VERY LOUDLY.
