I am thinking of putting a sapphire crystal on my 7549 7010. Is the crystal held in place with a compression retaining ring or is the retaining ring threaded in to the case.

Its held in by a screw in hold down ring (glass fixing ring), its a stepped edge xtal and also uses a teflon type ring under the hold down ring.
