Is it possible that it has the wrong stem fitted and jammed in the key less works ?
Crown and stem hard to remove on a 7002-7001.
I have this driver and it is difficult to screw in the crown although it will screw down. I thought I would remove the crown and stem assembly to clean it but when I try to release it by pushing on the little indent nothing happens. It doesn't seem to want to budge. Is there a trick that I am missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated or is difficulty screwing in the crown on this model typical. Thanks guys for any input.

IIRC, there is no indent. Rather, with caseback off, pull the crown out to setting position and you will see a little lever pop out near the stem. Depress it and the stem should come out.
