I've got an EcoDrive and was looking around for info on Citizen autos and found this review. Gotta say that is a very nice looking Citizen.

Is your watch the same as the photo below? I notice the words "Diver's 200m" is very close on yours while the watch below has a big space between the words.

I like mine. I've had no issues with the crown. In my experience, the crown is the usually first thing to wear-out on a watch. I've been through the hassle of getting a crown replaced on a Swiss watch. So, I make a point of using the crown as little as possible. I'll set one of my autos and wear it daily until it's at least a minute off. Then I might switch to a different watch or just reset it and keep going. If I know a watch tends to lose several seconds per day, I'll set it a minute fast and wear it until it's a minute slow.

My only complaint about this Promaster is that I wish it was bigger. And I don't mean a just a bigger case. The dial is kinda small and the day/date is kinda small. The white numbers on a black wheel look cool, but I think black numbers on a while dial are easier to read. As it is, I can read it just fine in a well-lit office, but I have trouble reading the date if the area is poorly lit or if the sun is causing some glare, like while I'm driving.

I must say... I'm enjoying mine. It's a real classic design for sure. Hefty in that automatic sense, but the Ti certainly brings the weight back down. I'm more of a quartz guy and this is my first auto. What I've read is the movement used in this watch is super durable and I've found it to be very accurate. Love the crown on this model, too. Easy to use and beefy looking. A real Diver's Diver!

Nope, the NY0054 has a titanium case, and a (titanium?) knurled crown, whereas the NY0040 has a stainless steel case and crown.

The crowns are not interchangeable btw, the sealing mechanism works differently.
I have one of these (8203-824695 TA) with gold highlights on the dial, hands and bezel - a lovely watch but the bezel click spring has lost one of its 'legs' and doesn't work properly anymore and the bezel isn't very secure anymore. Everywhere I've tried suggests its obsolete and unobtainable but is there is another model which uses the same spring, I wonder? (I'd love a new retaining clip - the polygonal one) too. Any help gratefully received - thanks.
